From Conversation to Practice: The Power of Role Play in Coaching

What if a coaching session became a space to practice change, not just talk about it?

In this interactive webinar, we explore role play as a coaching approach that shifts the focus from problem-solving to real-time co-created practice. Using a simple “tennis court” metaphor, you’ll see how a coach can stay present, adapt in the moment, and invite the client to stretch, experiment, and grow.

This is not a lecture. You will practice.

Together, we will connect this approach to core ICF competencies, especially:

  • Establishes and Maintains Agreements
  • Cultivates Trust and Safety
  • Maintains Presence
  • Evokes Awareness

You’ll not only learn the concept, but step into it.

Through guided peer practice in breakout rooms, you will:

  • design a real-life influence scenario to explore
  • step into a role and support another coach’s practice
  • experiment with identifying beliefs and creating growth opportunities in real time
  • experience coaching as a co-created practice, not a problem-solving exercise

This session is designed as a live playground for coaches who want to expand their range, sharpen their presence, and bring more creativity into their work.

Expect movement, experimentation, and insight you can use immediately in your coaching conversations.
